Q: Vacuum breaker 3/4 M# 720 A. Can tell why on starting initial water start up ,the water kept coming out the top of canopy until the rest of the line was opened then it stopped.Just curious as to why that would happen.Thanks

A: The purpose of the initial leak is to let you know that the air inlet valve is fully open. The air inlet valve will open when the pressure in the body is no less than 1.0 psi above atmospheric pressure. The air inlet valve will be fully open when the water drains from the body.
