Q: Customer is a nursing home. Repair kit for their shower valve is RK7000-50. Complain New maintenance man has is "only hot water from shower valves". I assume balance spool in stem is bad or stuck? Thanks.

A: If you're only getting hot water out of your Shower Valve we recommend verifying that the Cold Water Service Stop is fully open to allow cold water to the valve. If the cold water stop is fully open and you're still only getting hot water this Zurn RK7000-50 Control Stem Repair Kit-(12 teeth) (Part #126543) is most likely defective and will need to be replaced.
