The water hammer arrestor should be installed immediately upstream of the quick closing valve that is causing the water hammer. Once the Shoktrol Water Hammer Arrestor is installed, you can test to ensure that the water pressure does not exceed Maximum Working Pressure (125 PSI) and Maximum Static Pressure (250 PSI).
